PHILADELPHIA -- Rohm and Haas, a key supplier to the PVC industry, recently introduced Advapak™ NEO products, a range of high performing, environmentally advanced sustainable stabilizers. This revolutionary product is backed by more than 50 years of experience in the PVC additives and technical know-how in tin stabilizers.
During the PVC 2008 conference in Brighton, U.K., the results of a Sustainability Life Cycle Assessment, conducted by a cross-functional Rohm and Haas team and advisors from The Natural Step, an international, not-for-profit organization dedicated to sustainability, revealed that when "compared to other technologies, Advapak™ NEO heat stabilizers increased the usage of renewable raw materials, reduced energy consumption and emissions by simplifying the manufacturing process and enabling easier recycling."
Advapak™ NEO is just one outcome of a PVC sustainability evaluation conducted several years ago when Rohm and Haas, along with other representatives of the PVC industry, suppliers, retailers and environmental organizations met with The Natural Step, to address sustainability challenges within the industry. Since that time, Rohm and Haas continues to apply The Natural Step framework to its sustainability efforts, reaffirming the company's leadership and commitment to sustainability in the PVC industry.
