DÜSSELDORF, Germany -- PolyOne Corporation, a premier global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, introduced a new line of colorants and additives designed exclusively for The Dow Chemical Company's new DOW HEALTH+™ Polymers. This is a regulatory-compliant portfolio of high and low density polyethylene materials for medical device and pharmaceutical packaging applications.
These new colorant and additive solutions will help designers and manufacturers who select DOW HEALTH+ Polymers to quickly receive regulatory approvals and bring products to market faster.
PolyOne's new offerings for HEALTH+ Polymers include translucent, opaque, and special effect color concentrates and masterbatches as well as UV and process stabilization packages, anti-static, antimicrobial, laser-marking, and lubricity concentrates and masterbatches.
In addition to creating these custom formulations, PolyOne serves the broader healthcare industry with OnColor™ HC colorants and OnCap™ HC additives. These solutions meet the needs of medical device manufacturers by helping to reduce the difficulties inherent in medical device qualification, thereby improving time to market. Products in this portfolio include full documentation support, and are created in a PolyOne facility implementing the FDA's current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Further, they are formulated with raw materials that also help simplify and speed medical device qualification.
