Budenheim Ibérica was founded in 1996 with the exclusive idea of further promoting the existing flame retardants know-how. We are 100% owned by Chemische Fabrik Budenheim near Mainz (Germany) and belong to the Dr. August Oetker group of companies.

We are world leaders in the range of ammonium polyphosphates, melamine derivates and intumescent systems using our own know-how. We highly invest in our R+D. We are committed with our environmentally friendly halogen free flame retardants and their development in the market. We produce about 100 different flame retardants in our 150,000 m² factory in La Zaida (Spain). Many of them are tailor designed for specific customers.

The high level of quality of our products and the readiness to work in close cooperation with our customers to supply solutions to specific problems is recognized world-wide: Budenheim Ibérica is the specialist for inorganic phosphorus based flame retardants.
