Fluoropolymers as Polymer Processing Aid (PPA)

Universal PPA for Demanding Applications

Polymer processing aids (PPA) are fluoropolymers based additives used to increase productivity and quality during extrusion of PE products (films, profiles) without compromise on performances as only few hundred ppm are needed. Also, PPA can offer a clear improvement when fractional melt index PE grades are pelletized. When using those additives, the granules will have a much smoother surface as the melt fracture - that sometimes appears at high production rates - will be significantly reduced.

Daikin, has developed a more efficient PPA (DAI-EL™ PPA DA-910), based on a new fluoro-elastomer chemistry. Thanks to its higher efficiency, similar level of performances can now be achieved at lower concentrations (up to 50% lower than a traditional PPA) - without compromising on gels formation and die build up.
These benefits are especially appreciated in highly demanding lamination and surface protection application.

Daikin PPA, DAI-EL™ PPA DA-910:

  • Reduces PPA additives cost as lower PPA additive concentrations are needed (up to 50% less)
  • Is suitable for highly demanding blown film applications such as lamination and surface protection
  • Control your logistic cost during transportation thanks to higher bulk density (smooth surface on the pellets)
